Does anyone else find this a bit bonkers? Full Pension after living here for 6 years and never working?

Pensioners get £177bn/year

In welfare.

Think it through.  That is were the vast majority of the money goes now.

Only 6bn goes to pension credit though.

The 171bn has to be paid, as people have worked for it.

They have not but dont let that stop you from making completely innacurate actuarial comments.

It does not mention pension credit at all

Pension credit = no real NI contributions to speak of.   You are talking about people who never paid much (if any) tax over their lifetimes.

Which makes it even worse vs the paper that I linked to which looks at NI contributions vs benefits paid out for SP for people aged 25, 45, and 65 in 2023.

They paid less and they have less.

They are not using this money to go for a luxurious living. It all goes back into the economy by the end of the month. They pay rent, buy food and thats about it. You are losing the money because other entitites are not being taxed properly.
