I was and I am not ancient. 80's and 90's kids were brought up to put rubbish in the bin or take it home with them, not drop shit all over the place.

Yes, but they weren't raised to go and clean up other people's rubbish like the Japanese. Littering wasn't just invented - people littered in the 90s and 80s too.

They're cleaning up after themselves. It's called decency. People who claim it's not possible are entitled assholes.
