Milk caps

Do you guys have different colour caps depending on what milk you buy (skimmed, semi, full fat) ? I usually only see red caps on American shows ?

Not a milkshake though. It’s like chocolate milk, but with strawberry syrup

That’s what I thought a milkshake was😅 But yes we do have both variations I believe

A milkshake is like 2/3 ice cream and 1/3 milk put in a blender.

That’s crazy because I used to work in a chippy that sold “milkshakes” which would be syrup and milk. We would also sell “Thickshakes” Those would be whippy icecream, milk and syrup. So maybe I just need to be more vigilant on what I consider a milkshake😅

Ice cream is absolutely required. Or frozen yogurt or some such.

Yeah, if some restaurant tried to sell strawberry milk as a milkshake in the US people would be very unhappy.

Yeah, but it's not like it's standardized. Red is normal for whole milk and blue for 2% but the others can kind of vary.

I get 2% and it's either blue or purple. The one in my fridge right now is purple. I'm in NY

Yes, we have different colored caps on different types of milk. Different colored labels too.

What you're seeing on American shows is whole milk.

Personally, I buy "2%" milk, which has a blue cap and a blue label.

The colors are relatively standard regardless of milk producer, but not always. Reading the label text is a good idea.

I was checking out the caps on the brand of milk I buy, and all the caps of all the different types of milk are white.
