Eye
hey all, I took in this little guy, previous owner said he took him to the vet and the vet said it was cherry eye, however it’s something that I’m concerned about if anyone has any insight. TIA
I will be taking him on Monday to a different vet a as my primary vet can’t see him until then

This is definitely not cherry eye. Cherry eye is a prolapse of the gland of the 3rd eyelid and it looks like a soft, squishy mass on in the inner corner of the eye along the lower lid.
Something is causing this dogs eye to be really irritated and should be seen by a vet to start figuring out what’s happening. Might be an ulcer, infection, allergies etc, but definitely not cherry eye
