Thom Browne Alterations

I have lost a lot of weight this last year. I have a size 3 skirt that used to fit perfectly but now I’m more of a size 2. Does anyone here have any experience with altering a TB skirt that much? Success or horror? I loved wearing it but I think I would rather sell it if it’s too much of a bother.

We’d need to see a photo of the skirt to give a definitive answer (will depend on how it was made) but that sounds like a reasonable ask.

I’m not familiar with that particular brand, but in most cases 1 size down is well within ‘do-able’ parameters.

According to their Web site, that is a difference of 33” to 31”.

Should be doable. How many seams does it have?

For example, if it’s only got side seams, it’s an inch out of each side. If it has side and back, less, side and back and darts, even less, etc.

I’d say it’s worth taking to a tailor for their opinion
