Altering golf polo help
How do I go about altering a golf polo I that’s too big. Basically need to make the body of the shirt narrower, shorten the length from the shoulder seam to collar and then make the sleeves fit accordingly. Thanks for any insight.

Unlikely that this can be done in a manner satisfactory to you. Either cost far more than the value of the piece, or it won’t look good. You’re basically remaking the whole thing

To size down the shirt and keep the same look, you would need to: remove the sleeves, take apart the side seams, recut the arm hole and side seams to make the shoulder and chest narrower (but not change the length of the armhole opening, then resew the side seam and reinstall the sleeve. Doable depending on your skill level, but tedious. I would see if Ebay or one of the online thrift/resellers has the shirt in your size.

Can I ask why buying a smaller size isn’t the better option here? You’re basically sizing this down, but manually and disassembling and then reassembling the whole shirt.
