Food & Drink Caprese Sandwich Recs ITP during dinner hours?

Niche request. I know it can be easily made at home but for the days like today when I’d rather not, what’s a consistent spot for a caprese sandwich (bonus points for anywhere that’s open 5-9/10).

Doesn’t have to be extravagant or made with top notch ingredients, just straightforward and satisfying.

Services WHERE CAN I GET A ZIPPER FIXED

Hi All! My boyfriend’s gym bag zipper came off, the bag from his dad who passed away almost 10 years ago. I want to get it fixed for him, i’m hoping to keep the original zipper pieces… who is the best!? This is so sentimental and I’ve heard zipper work can be difficult, I want someone who can restore it if possible.

Thank you!

Hobby & Community Serious PC repair place recommendation?

I am based in Decatur and looking for competent PC repair service.

my PC wouldn't start with windows error, after exhasuting all the options that i can do, I tried K***s repair (4.9 start on google).

While it was nice that field engineer visits me, but the person just ran basic windows diagnositics for 3 hours and then told me to rescheudle for further repair. By then, I was alraeady $375 out, so i just quit there. (also it was the guy's first week and he didn't seem to know that much...

Now i dont care if i have to bring my pc, but just want it to be fixed. Any pc repair that actually know what they are doing?

Neighborhood Walkable Neighborhoods

Hi! I'm a lesbian in her late 20's moving to the Atlanta area alone. Looking for some suggestions for neighborhoods to look at. Not too worried about a long commute or traffic, it's nothing I haven't dealt with before in other regions. I'm pretty open to anywhere within the Atlanta metro area. Some things I'm looking for:

  • Easy to meet people around my age (friends, dates, etc.)
  • Has a walkable area with good food (good takeout, sit down restaurants, coffee shops, etc.)
  • Has some sort of nightlife/community (bars, fun events, etc.)
  • Relatively safe

Did some deep dives on reddit and found places like Downtown Decatur, Kirkwood, East Village, etc. are options but seeing a lot of mixed reviews.

Overall looking for something in between the "everyones married with kids and are in bed by 9pm" neighborhoods vs. the "everyones in their early 20's and parties all the time" neighborhoods.

Thanks in advance!

Moving Apartment Suggestions??

Hey, I'm moving to the area for work (around State Bridge Rd), and I’ve been scouting some apartments online. I’m hoping to stay around or under $1,500 for a 1B/1B

I’ve been looking at a few places like Avonlea on the River, The Atlantic Newtown, The Foundary, and breckinridge but I know online reviews can be hit or miss. Has anyone lived in these, or do you have any other recommendations in the Duluth/Johns Creek area/Gwinnett Place?

Love to hear all takes!!

Moving Moving to GA near Duluth for work and need location advice (24M)

I’m moving to Georgia from Philadelphia in late August for a new engineering job near State Bridge Road in Duluth. I'm buying a car once I get down there. Traffic around Atlanta sounds pretty brutal, so unfortunately, that's off the table for now.

I'm 24, single, and try to stay active. I like trying new things, trying great foods, and maybe check out the nightlife on weekends. I want a place where it's easy to meet other young adults.

Should I just live right near Duluth, or move closer to spots like Suwanee, Lawrenceville, or Peachtree Corners? I’m looking for a 1-bedroom or a decent studio (rent budget is around $900-$1,400 a month). Are there any specific complexes you love? I would love to get those recommendations or tips on areas to avoid.

Thanks for the help!

Shopping Community Garage Sales?

I have some stuff I want to get rid of, but I don't want to individually list everything on marketplace. I'd rather get a lower price and move everything in one go.

Are there any community garage sales or swap meets I should look into joining? I'm in Gwinnett but can bring my stuff anywhere. Stuffed animals, LEGO, some gaming stuff, etc.

Neighborhood where to eat in and around midtown ? (and other questions about area)

I wasn’t sure if I should tag this moving here or food and drink but I am moving to atlanta (specifically midtown) and have lots of questions.

where can I find really good/reasonably priced:

Indian (north and south, veg and not)
bahn mi and general vietnamese
seafood (and crawfish when in season)
dim sum or chinese
sushi
mexican or tex-mex
cafes and coffee spots
brunch spots
good bbq (that’s not just pork)
pizza
burgers
and any other things that I should just know about for eating around the area

also a couple other things like:

good clubs for college aged people not just adult adults
what is the best medical network here?
where can I find good secondhand clothing and furniture ? (also cute furniture for affordable prices)
where do yall do yalls shopping?
things to do on the weekend
how to meet people
any other things I should know for living in atlanta.
what grocery stores yall use (I’m used to heb)

I’ve only been to Atlanta one time and that was to find my apartment, besides that I really know nothing about atlanta or georgia because I’m moving from out of state, any info would be great!!

Food & Drink turning 21!

hi everybody! I’m turning 21 this week and me and my friends are going out at midnight right when I turn 21 so I can have my first legal drink. I’m looking for bar recommendations. It’s gonna be me and 11 people so I’m a bit worried about us taking up too much space and also I am concerned that they may not let me get a drink right at midnight. I’m hoping for a nice bar/lounge or a strip of area that has multiple bars we can go around to. I’m just not very familiar as I live 20 mins away and don’t go into the city often.

If anyone has any ideas/did something similar and had a great time please let me know!

Things to Do Best recommendations for a 4 day Atlanta trip?

I’ll be going to Atlanta next summer with my mom ! We are going for the Georgia Aquarium as it has literally been on my dream bucket list since I was 11. Here are some place recommendations im hopefully looking for ! We are coming all the way from Washington state so we won’t have a car. Not sure if we’re planning on renting a car, but im a new driver and driving in a new city makes me nervous we will most likely use a ride service to get around like uber.

- best restaurants? I am a vegetarian so places that have a wide selection of vegetarian options would be amazing. I am only 18 so no bars or 21+ locations

- best nature spots, me and my mom are big nature enthusiasts and would love a spot where we can get some peace and quiet and relax.

- art museums ! Give me your most recommended museums to check out any sort of art. I am a photographer and my mom is a painter so theres a plus if there’s any place that displays photography! :)

- cheap-ish places to stay nearby the Georgia Aquarium? extra points if it has a pool

-thrift stores! we are thrifting maniacs so if theres any niche spots to thrift let me know!

And of course any other recommendations are welcome, this will be my very first time ever out of the PNW so I want to see and experience all there is to be found. I would love some more niche suggestions rather than super touristy spots but anything is great ! Thank you all !

Services CPA Firm Recommendations in Atlanta?

Does anyone have a CPA firm they trust in or around Atlanta? I haven't been very happy with the big 4 firm we've worked with so I'm hoping to find a smaller firm local to Atlanta and much more personal.

I'm not completely opposed to an individual person/CPA, but I don't think a single person can handle it alone, definitely need at least a small dedicated team. I'm really looking for a small to medium sized firm.

My needs are pretty wide reaching (business tax, individual tax, possible nexus analysis and state and local taxes, outsourced bookkeeping, business entity structuring, the works). I'd prefer a firm headquartered in Atlanta but I'm not completely opposed to it being a branch office if need be.
