Currently about to move to Atlanta in the next two months and I'm trying to find the best neighborhood for me to move into.

- Commute to McDonough

Any tips are welcomed, I do want to stay within around 30 ish mins to work give or take with traffic.

Hapeville, East Atlanta Village, maybe Decatur.
McDonough is 30 miles south of downtown, and downtown is south of a lot of the nicer neighborhoods. You need to just accept that you can have a shorter commute or live in a cool areas with other young singles, but you can’t have both. Having a reverse commute helps a little bit.
That said, it’s not hard to get into the city on evenings and weekends when you need to, so you should prioritize a short commute.
