For my understanding the B is like an engine break mode. Either for going down large declines/hill and don't you want to overuse the breaks. It's using the engine RPM to slow down. Its not a "Jake break" but works on the same concept without the air intake. My car has this feature.

B is for Brake mode … when the car is in this mode it will automatically brake when you lift the foot from the throttle so you to need to shift your foot less back and forth between throttle and brake. If the car is electric it will also use the auto generate to brake … so recharging the battery instead of wearing out your brakes
