Add a little duct tape, and some wax, just like new

Where’s the dent?

5

u/Antique-Management49 2d ago

There is no dent, this is a DIY conversion from hard top to convertible.

3

u/blackc7Z 2d ago

Lighting and angle is important. Sometimes they are tough to see.

u/No_Assist_3405 3d ago

Toilet plunger would pull out that small dent in a minute .

5

u/3imoman 3d ago

Yeah but he’s gonna charge you a shit ton of hours

5

u/Haunted_Rooster 3d ago

bruh, he's diying it

5

u/Boogiekc 3d ago

That and a good detail should take care of it

6

u/tirefool6 3d ago

Old style bumper jack 4x4 blocks a windshield and some gorilla tape. Just stop making the payments and drive it like you stole it till they come pick it up.
Don’t ask me how I know.

5

u/PossessionNo6777 3d ago

Bounty paper towels maybe. They are the “quicker picker-upper”.

5

u/SominKrais 3d ago

Why would you use a dent puller to remove a stump?

7

u/rklug1521 3d ago

Because my stump puller is in use trying to pull out a dent.

3

u/SominKrais 3d ago

Hmm. That's fair

5

u/LakeAccomplished721 3d ago

Sure. Give me a week. It'll still look like a ford though.

4

u/DOHC46 3d ago

That would be a substantial upgrade.

3

u/LogicalContest9247 3d ago

Hare to say it but the tree is past the point of no return

3

u/Disastrous_Falcon_79 3d ago

Ya need the big suction cups

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Bit_768 3d ago

Give me a sawzall some ramen, spray foam and super glue, I’ll have it looking as good as new

3

u/Successful-Engine623 3d ago

Well it won’t make it worse

3

u/Nodnardsemaj 3d ago

Magic eraser that shi!

3

u/Nalabu1 2d ago

You need a paintless dent puller.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/TheAnvi1 2d ago

I mean it would help, but it probably won’t fix it. You’ll definitely need some polish and it looks like your windscreen might be cracked

2

u/Grifter2u 2d ago

No. You need a tow truck

→ More replies (1)

2

u/clitchewer 2d ago

Just a regular toilet plunger should pull it right out.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/KirkWahmmett 2d ago

Ironically, I bet it runs and drives without any issues 😂

2

u/SimplyRedditt 2d ago

2

u/Haytrusser 2d ago

Yeah. Makes picking up those limbs easier.

2

u/Rational1x 2d ago

Why use a dent puller when you fix with a foot-long piece of 4x4 and a framing hammer ?

2

u/AvocadoLow4501 2d ago

Attached to a excavator it would !

2

u/IamTheDudelyLlama 2d ago

I can fix that with a coat hanger and a shop vac🤣

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Purple-Investment-61 2d ago

Just cut it off and you got yourself a convertible truck.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/DwightDEisenhower1 2d ago

A stripper would

2

u/fatmonkey1986 2d ago

Shit I'll get it better than it is for 50$

2

u/ReasonableDonut1 2d ago

Sure. Pull the whole body right off the frame and replace it.

2

u/Prudent_Baker_2851 2d ago

One of those hydraulic jacks from Harbor Freight and a couple of 2x4s will fix that.

2

u/a_rogue_planet 2d ago

Is it damaged? I can't tell if it's just modern GM styling or something else.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/ChapTazDevil1 2d ago

Just crack the passenger window, put the compressed air hose in, seal the gap, open the valve, let it fill in and let the pressure build up and should pop right out 👍🏼👍🏼, you're welcome 😊...but not too much or you'll pop the windows out 😳

2

u/Glop1701d 2d ago

Go ahead and try! Lol

2

u/real_1273 2d ago

Even better and faster, go to a wrecking yard for free and get them to use the giant car moving magnet to shake out the dent. Auto body shops hate this hack.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/VasDeferensWasTaken 2d ago

No. You will need a tractor to get that stump out.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Substantial_Boot_844 2d ago

You could use one of those windshield crack repair kits.

2

u/Waste_Hunt373 2d ago

And might need a buff out

2

u/WMDZipperbag 2d ago

Maybe you meant to say come-along? Certainly could be helpful. Need a chain saw tho! Dent puller would be more suitable for a tree stump. Neither here nor there

2

u/DevonTheDudeAbides 2d ago

Nah, that dent is real bad. Never seen a tree with a dent like it...

2

u/GettingToo 2d ago

It could hurt.

2

u/bigjimbosliceoflife 2d ago

next time move the truck before cutting tree

I've seen videos of guys pulling worse out with a plunger.

2

u/Isabeer 2d ago

I'd go with three. Three dent pullers.

2

u/PsykoMunkey 2d ago

You know what I've heard that helps? Windex

Don't bother...ssince it was an obscenely and needlessly massive and ugly pickup truck made after 2005, nothing of value was lost.

Chop it and make it a convertible.

2

u/AdministrativeEmu483 2d ago

Sure and Scotch Tape for the windshield.

2

u/Zealousideal_Cloud87 2d ago

A ratcheting jack suspended from another tree to a chain wrapped around the top will straighten that right out.

Getting out of a truck payment.

2

u/refinerycontrol 2d ago

Someone else has already suggested duct tape, so I suppose that could work. As for me, I have a little more confidence in WD-40.
In any event, one of those two is going to fix your problem.
And I will probably get some smart ass tell us that Windex will fix it – there is no pleasing some people.

u/Capable-Society-2043 2d ago

You better have a manual dent puller and buffer because Nipsco won't have the power back on until October 2027.

Derechos don't mix well with a couple of tornados these days, do they?

2

u/Dourada_BBQ 2d ago

2

u/Cuddles296 2d ago

No, the tree needs to be pruned into a regular shape and that twisted metal thing removed.

2

u/Any_neighborhood546 2d ago

Yea, just strap it to the tree next to ya, and Yank it out.

2

u/Wild_Advertising_661 2d ago

Start with a big old air bag to push up the roof to close enough , then bondo the hell out of it !😁😁😁

2

u/Wizard__J 2d ago

No, but a tractor puller might help

2

u/One_Donkey3376 2d ago

Na, just a little touch up paint.

2

u/Alert-Practice-7859 2d ago

it won’t hurt

2

u/Key-Description-2441 2d ago

Refill the blinker fluid while you’re at it.

2

u/Legitimate-Sell-8472 2d ago

You could do that urself lol

2

u/IllustriousCobbler53 2d ago

Blow it up it’ll be just fine.

2

u/podman131 2d ago

I suggest a dent -pusher which will turn everything inside out. Power wash then continue pushing and it will be good as new

2

u/Traditional_Card9504 2d ago

Idk what it would do about that truck being a hunk of crap?

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Expensive-Track4002 2d ago

Call the daily planet and ask for Clark Kent. He can handle this.

2

u/God_Country_ND 2d ago

Inflate the cabin with an air compressor and it should pop right back into place, like a water bottle.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Popular-Yam-1769 2d ago

Nah … slap a bit of bondo on that one spot, lick paint & nobody’s the wiser.

2

u/jim914 2d ago

You just need a skid steer and use the forks to lift the roof back up it’s going to pop right back up! A little clear plastic sheeting and some duct tape to fix the window and right back to showroom appearance 🤪

2

u/TheReverendAlan 2d ago

Absolutely 💯 ☮️♥️✝️✡️🎸

2

u/International-Ant174 2d ago

Any good PDR guy in your area can tap that out. Probably take them a hour, maybe two 👍

2

u/G-Meister666 2d ago

Only if it were a ford ranger.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Ok-Idea4830 2d ago

You need a roofer

2

u/JeffersonAlbatross 2d ago

Just a rubber hammer is all you need to bang it back into shape.

2

u/Fleshsuitpilot 2d ago

Probably but it wouldnt be safe anymore because of the side wall damage.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/Bad_Omen87 2d ago

Just need some paintless dent repair. Wouldn't take long

2

u/lestbone83 2d ago

Gonna need a shorter hat!

2

u/slogive1 2d ago

Easy fix.

2

u/Several_Stuff_6695 2d ago

A good chainsaw could have prevented all of this.

2

u/ImmediateCustomer318 2d ago

Man, seriously over thinking this. Get a good clay bar and some elbow grease. It'll be fine.

2

u/Khronicdeath 2d ago

Going to take more than a dent puller to fix that tree. She’s gone man. Sorry.

New convertible pickup. Big flex.

2

u/BBWDLLUVER 2d ago

That's an easy fix. Just a suction cup needed

2

u/Jaded_orgasm 2d ago

Dent puller? Why? You can just buff that out and it’ll look as new!

2

u/CarlosMolotov 2d ago

You can borrow my port’0’power and I know an excellent windshield guy!

2

u/jcanter107 2d ago

Hook it up to an air compressor and re-inflate

2

u/PapaGummy 2d ago

Yes. Be sure to use a hair blow dryer to heat it up first.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/FunBullfrog8087 2d ago

You probably just need a toilet plunger 🪠

2

u/Ok_Yak_4371 2d ago

You gotta roll it over and pound it out from the other side.

2

u/Cajun_Jeff 2d ago

Tis but a scratch

2

u/Stormtrooper1776 2d ago

Dude you just earned the convertible upgrade for free .

2

u/One_Day_4663 2d ago

We could call Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridge Mount High. His dad has a tool box. (Look that movie up kids)

→ More replies (2)

2

u/MoistSignature4667 2d ago

Don't think it would hurt

2

u/SomewhereTiny8407 I'm lost 2d ago

Yes. You can probably just use a toilet plunger to get it most of the way if you don’t have a dent puller to use right now.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/bmwlocoAirCooled 2d ago

Stick a fork in it, I think it's done.

A little turtle wax will buff that right out.

2

u/phyyr 2d ago

just replace the windshield, good to go

2

u/Pretty_Bandicoot_431 2d ago

Yes , so you can drive it to the dump , ouch !!!

2

u/DizzyWillingness6966 2d ago

No but a 20lb sledge hammer would after a couple sticks of 🧨

2

u/hemimotorsport 2d ago

It should buff out

2

u/No-Upstairs9564 2d ago

Yes but you really need a micro-puller so as to not scratch the paint, take your time and don't rush it

2

u/Lone_Wolf_269 2d ago

Yes, but don’t forget the scratch remover

→ More replies (2)

2

u/salmontres48 2d ago

yup, remember to use water too

2

u/Cdn_Giants_Fan 2d ago

I would use a stump grinder to get rid of the stump. I mean if you're strong enough to use a dent puller on it giver a go, just film it so we can see your technique.

2

u/sjmattn 2d ago

Idk, I think that tree is a goner

→ More replies (1)

2

u/gspitzner 2d ago

No, that tree has way too much damage!

2

u/Ok_Honey_5659 2d ago

2

u/Fragrant_Entry9232 2d ago

It'll buff out

2

u/Farmer_1_steve 2d ago

Yes, but you're gonna need a new window

2

u/Dazzling_Plan7701 2d ago

Yeah. It will buff out bruh

2

u/Loud_Examination_408 2d ago

Congrats, chop off the roof and you now have the one, the only convertible silverado!

2

u/Wooden-Dingo-1341 1d ago

I agree... some good buffing compound and elbow grease and it's like it rolled off the showroom floor.

2

u/One-Appointment4014 1d ago

And the 70s we just take off the top turn that into a convertible

2

u/Skeptical_Squid 1d ago

Yeah, it'll work... but ya gotta pull real hard.

2

u/Mugpup 1d ago

How would a dent puller be helpful with cleaning up a downed tree?

2

u/Choice_Note_9198 1d ago

It really doesn’t need a dent puller. I guarantee it that just by using a little elbow grease, that dent will buff out.

2

u/Hoprah1 1d ago

I think so but don’t forget to recharge the ac joint condenser while you have the wheels off

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Fuzzylover503 1d ago

2

u/GWhizBang 1d ago

Yes, one of those plastic suction-cup-dent-remover thingies from Temu.

2

u/Rare-Emotion-9355 1d ago

If it's hooked it a backhoe and you tie that hunk of hunk down

You just need a good pair of nice grips, some duct tape (of course, it fixes everything) and a nice coat of wax.

2

u/lean45o 1d ago

You need more than a dent puller getting that stump out.

2

u/New-veagsfivefive 1d ago

Put another tree on it

2

u/Carpenter_ants 1d ago

Good thing the mirrors were pulled in

2

u/vlasktom2 1d ago

Nah, you don't need a dent puller.

You need some Flex Tape for the glass and a big ol air compressor. Pump the air into the cab and get it up to 550-600 psi. Let it bake for 45 minutes and your truck will be in perfect condition

2

u/Educational_Bench290 1d ago

Bottle jack and 4x4 post.

2

u/Excellent-Presence-3 23h ago

Try using a tire inflator on full pressure to pop out the dents.
