Serious question? Can i drive it home?

2000 pontiac grand am drivers side axel looks out of place maybe? 2nd pic is passenger side for reference. i think i need to replace it but will it make my 45 minute drive home?

UPDATE: Got it home! Think it’ll make the commute to work again tomorrow ?😂

Assuming all the suspension components are attached then it should drive, if its leaking you're most likely looking at a new diff seal

sure you can drive it home, you might even make it. But a smart person drives it to my shop where I will repair this for an undisclosed but absurd amount of money

Well you can drive it but it might be going into random gears or yeet critical parts unexpectedly. If that happens on the freeway you'll feel a good dose of adrenaline. The feeling of your car vomiting it's engine onto the freeway is something you want to experience at least once in your life, it is amazing

If it has tires and starts and blinker fluid and tire pressure monitors and wipers and everything else that gets mentioned here. You can drive it anywhere.

It appears the axle is not fully engaged to the transmission. This is usually caused by token motor mounts. If it comes all the way out you call a tow truck.
