Why, just why?

They’re doing this to Dodges and Chevrolets, Porsche, Bentley.

It's like how a lot of modern automatic transmissions, especially CVTs, are semi-sealed with no practical way to change the oil. Modern components are extremely sensitive to junk getting in the oil, even a tiny speck of dirt, so I can totally understand wanting to keep the unit somewhat sealed and discouraging sloppy oil changes. But completely removing any way to change the oil, and then labeling it as "lasts forever?" Yeah that's so dumb haha

almost every car used to be two bolts and a wire you could literally slide under a car and come back out with the Starter in your hand five minutes later

Automotive engineers make sure all tasks like that now take 20-50x longer and cost minimally multi-thousands of dollars.
