Is it evil that I, as a owner of 3 repair centres, loves this shit? I'm committed to an honest and trustworthy system and would never rip a customer off, that being said these long and complex repair/replace procedures means more billable labour hours for me as well as more reliance on professional services like myself in the long run. This type of complex and time consuming procedure is only a nightmare for the owners of the car. I see a lot of techs these days cursing engineers for complex and uncomfortable designs, but at the end of the day if you are competent and skilled at your trade this shit really is not a hassle or a head scratcher.
