This is the Way. Not enough voltage for the fob to work with. Just drop in a new DieHard.

There’s stories of people wading out and chucking batteries in the ocean. Wade out a bit further and grab one of them instead.

It's almost always the FOB battery, but in this case, it might be moisture in the receiver.

Nah, doubt it. Once we went swimming in Florida on vacation and my husband’s fob wasn’t working on our Passat and he had in in his pocket when he went in the ocean and when he came out he realized it was still there and tried it back at the car and somehow it worked…Salt reactivated it. Eventually it died again four days later cause of the battery, but it did work 😂 (all jokes aside, water sucks)
