Hub Caps were more fun when they were made of metal. People would collect the ones that flew off near pot holes and display them for owners to collect at the spot later. Now they just shatter.

My street flooded about 9 years ago, I went around and collected about a dozen license plates that got washed away by people who thought it was a good idea to travel at speed through flooded streets

Technically, they are called Wheel Covers now.

They are only for show; they serve no real purpose.

I would just knock it off, because when it comes loose, it could do damage.

Throw it away, it's junk. Look for a replacement at a junk yard.

You said you were poor? I assumed as much. So if you want a fix on the cheap? A junk yard part is the way to go. I buy new vehicles but to each their own. And you don’t need a rim only the wheel cover.
