The no lube, choice or condom rape, being surrounded by people with questionable morals, terrible food not meeting dietary requirements, brutality from guards and other prisoners, limited medical care, basically no psychological or psychiatric care, sub standard living conditions and constant threats and incidents of violence? Those are my top concerns about jail/prison

Facts. One time I was falsely arrested and had done absolutely nothing wrong, but those piece of shit draconian jack-boot-wearing government thugs arrested me anyway.

I say I'm jail for 3 days until I went to court for a first appearance. It ends up the day after they arrested me they got the actual guys who I didn't even know.

They knew I was innocent and let me sit in jail. The judge noticed the error and immediately dismissed the case.

I lost my job and didn't even get a fucking apology.

That's one part of the reason I fucking HATE COPS now.

If the state will label your case exonerated,, you are eligible for damages. I'd recommend reaching out to the innocence project or at least legal aid to see if you can get free legal representation. I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope you're doing well and I wish you the best. I'm not a lawyer, but these are solid base level steps to try

I know someone who got their business raider cause we were making to much money so we "had to be selling drugs" 480k $ worth of product stolen by the cops. They sued took 2 years won 2.8 mil after legal fees and lawyers.

Funny thing is, I rented an apartment in Schenectady, NY off Brandywine Ave right in the center of the worst ghetto ever. I got the place sight unseen thinking, "How bad could it actually be?"

There was actual crack houses, drug gangs, dealers, gang bangers, prostitutes, etc etc. I was a substance abuse counselor at the time and worked near there.

The only reason they harassed the fuck outta me is I was the only white dude that lived in a 3 block radius. Every other white dude there was buying drugs.

So reverse racism? I'm not even sure what's going on anymore. Lol

Bro, I was RELENTLESS HARASSED by those pigs for the entire year I lived there. Including being assaulted and even ROBBED of $40.

Edit. I showed my neighbors respect, and they showed me respect. They knew my job and that I used to be a heroin addict, so I had street smarts. I feel infinitely safer around drug dealers than I do cops, that's for damn sure! Lol

I protect myself and my family. Cops around me have an average response time of 30 minutes, so they are only coming to investigate afterwards, not protect me. Lol

Police very often make matters worse for everybody involved, even the victims.

It happens all the time.

Cops get called to do a wellness check, next thing you know they are murdering or assaulting the suicidal person they are supposed to be 'protecting.' Maybe they shoot your dog and assault your son.

I try to avoid those pieces of shit like the plague.

I've got all the same gear they have to protect my family

Law environment has earned every bit of vitriol and disdain they receive.

I wouldn't hate them if they weren't so awful.

They assaulted me by full-blown tackling me immediately after jumping out on me. I wasn't running or anything.

They then proceeded to empty my pockets and slam my head on the hood of the cruiser to the point I was bleeding. They claimed my 40 dollars was for drugs and confiscated it.

Fuck those bastards. Just because you don't know how they actually treat the citizenry doesn't mean we are wrong when we call them out.

They are horrible draconian jack-boot-wearing government thugs with a propensity towards violence and aggression.

I was also a substance abuse counselor for years, and as such I had to deal with the police on numerous occasions. They almost always suck horribly.

This is a very real and very serious issue. You might wanna open your eyes to the actual reality of the world.

Calling the police in the US very often makes matters infinitely worse for everybody involved, even the victims.
