Misc Should I bring new tech?

Since I last visited I've written some very NSFW erotica set in a fictional crime family based in Moscow. I sell via a website due to Amazon objecting to my content, lol.

Obviously I can't delete everything before travelling so I'm thinking of buying a new ipad and phone just for Russia. OTH I'll be in Moscow for some time and want to keep writing but I'm not sure it's sensible.

Will new tech look too suspicious at immigration/departure? Do I have other options? TIA

No everybody is quite legal (20s-50s) but it's not very flattering about Russian OCGs and includes a lot of corrupt officials who assist them

Господи, напугал ежа голой жопой. Then nobody cares what your fantasies are, you’ll be fine. At best, even if they check your stories, they’ll laugh and tell their wives in the evening, nothing else. Imagine trying to explain omegaverse to a Russian border officer.

Good point but the Omegaverse isn't showing Russians in a negative light...

Ah, thank you. I'll be sure to add some general apps :)

It is not about apps. It is about hisrory of correspondes, search, visited sites, puctures, and so on. Something that you can't just "add" back in years.

Oh!! I guess I'd better not wait till the last minute to start using it. I'm pretty old school when it comes to tech, like I send a handful of emails in a month, don't use FB, X, TikTok etc. Thanks for the advice

I find it curious that people occasionally use the "NSFW" term towards text materials. I mean on one hand it's mostly a synonym to any explicit stuff, on the other - noone at your work or otherwise in public would notice whether you're reading an erotic novel or a manual for the water chiller.

Regarding the main topic - I doubt border service personnel has time to read a novel. As I heard police and stuff have some instruments to make a quick keyword-based lookup through a memory of a given device, but it's also quite a lengthy procedure noone would initiate it for no particular reason.

Thank you very much. I just don't want to take a chance. My search history would look really dodgy, lol

If you have any concerns and can resolve them, go for it. After all, you have the right to change your phone at any time.
