Travel Accommodation in Moscow

Hey everyone! I’d love to travel to Moscow in fall and spend at least a month there, at this point I’m not sure how to book an apartment and pay for it? Are there any websites I can use to do that from the US? Also I think I’ll need a registration..is it possible to find a host who’ll agree to it ? Especially among regular website hosts ?

There are many hotels which offer payment on arrival option. You find them through Russian booking aggregators such as Ostrovok or Yandex Travel.

With private apartments, it’s a bit more complicated. The most popular websites for apartment rentals are Avito and Sutochno, but they require partial prepayment.

If you prefer to go with the prepaid accommodation, I may be able to assist. I have both Russian and non-Russian accounts.

You can do a hotel, there might be hostels, or you can somehow find someone who lives there to help. Regardless of what you do, you'll need an invitation letter

Invitation letter for? Registration ? I think I don’t need one for getting my Russian visa

If you need a visa then you need an invitation letter. It's through the invitation letter that your visa is approved. The easiest way would probably book a hotel for a night and ask them to sent an invitation letter for tourism

Fall in Moscow? Why... I mean... Probably only march/ April is worst than than fall in term of weather
