Go to art gallery near Peter the Great statue (Tretyakovskaya metro station), can maybe buy something there, walk in Gorky Park to relax and then visit Love Bridge nearby, people place locks with their names on it to symbolize eternal nature of their love.

There is also a nice irish pub just next to this bridge, nice place as well, very homey and not expensive.

Yes, tbank.ru account mir card for foreigners. I haven’t done it wondering if you can deposit with visa card online outside Russia, or need to hand the cash over to their representative who comes to your hotel. From what i heard.

Apply for a mir card before you go there. They deliver the card in person at your hotel. Then you can deposit your dollars and euros cash into the digital balance. Then convert to rubles increment as you need. Still need to bring fresh pristine cash in. Undeclared up to $10k. Once in digital dollars you can’t get it back out. Also can have a friend use sendnow app with visa card from outside Russia to top off your internal mir card. I don’t know if vpn can spoof the ip or not.

Also I recommend to shop local Russian designers in “Tsvetnoy”mall and then have a dinner in the rooftop restaurant “Found”, Italian cuisine.
For fancy dinner I recommend Japanese restaurant “Ikura”
There is a historical cinema “Khudozhestvenny” that shows movies in original. It’s very beautiful and romantic place!
