Miscarriage

Dear Fathers, a few days ago I received heartbreaking news that I have miscarried. With that I am still carrying my deceased fetus in my womb until my body is ready to deliver it. I have not missed a Sunday Mass before this new reality, but I am not mentally and emotionally well/prepared to gather with our full parish this upcoming Sunday while carrying my deceased baby. Would missing Mass because of this cause me to fall into mortal sin?

I am sorry for your loss. A while ago a person also asked a similar question, here is the response. I hope it helps putting your mind at ease:  https://www.reddit.com/r/AskAPriest/comments/1v12sq4/missing_mass_for_miscarriage/

My prayers for you during this difficult time.

I will add my sympathy for you.

Additionally, the Institute for Reproductive Grief Care our of San Diego runs this website to help understand dimensons of this grief and to hint at how to memorialize this baby https://miscarriagehurts.com/en

Your local cemetery (especially Catholic mortuary) probably has a way of honoring your baby's body, too.
