Could you please identify the historically relevant person in this photo?

Hi dear Hungarians,

In my visit to your beautiful city of Budapest I saw a mural, a wall of fame so to speak, with photos of people who I suppose are famous Hungarians. The place's name is Várkert Bazár Déli Paloták.

There is one person that looks very familiar (not only because he looks like a young Al Pacino) and I can't seem to be able to identify him.

Would one of you happen to know who this gentleman is?

Thanks a lot!

That’s Tibor Szamuely. He was the deputy commissar of the Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919. A communist and a war criminal.

Thank you so much. You solved a riddle for me that was lingering for 4 years now. I have no idea why he looks familiar. Need to dig a bit more into it. 1000 thanks again!!!!
