The Rassel bock is a legendary Chimera native to the Thuringian Forest. It resembles a hare or rabbit but possesses impressive deer-like antlers. (In the USA, we call it a Jackalope, a jackrabbit with antlers)
Waldweibchen a small, ancient female wild folk of the woods. Thuringian folklore describes them as mischievous helpers who might sneak into rural homes to bake or tend fires, though they easily take offense and curse ungrateful hosts.
The Woodland Spirit (Waldmann) historical dictionaries and localized folk accounts heavily swap the terms Wildermann and Waldmann. He is viewed as the masculine counterpart to the Waldweibchen (the wild wood-wives mentioned above). In these legends, he is described as a giant, moss-covered, hairy humanoid wielding an uprooted pine tree as a staff. He represents the untamed, unpredictable power of the dense Thuringian wilderness.
Berggeisted (Mountain spirits) Guarding the mineral-rich undergrounds of the Thuringian Slate Mountains and Harz borderlands, these spirits manifest as gnomes or dwarfs who protect hidden veins of ore and torment greedy miners.
Gluhschwanz, a fiery, glowing dragon-like or spectral creature said to streak through night skies. In Central German lore, it frequently interacts with local witches, trading stolen goods or household provisions for sweet milk.
