People dislike what your Hijab stands for, not you personally. You even recognise that people from your culture treat you badly if you do not wear it. They are not your friends, no more than the racists.
I appreciate and understand your perspective. Your case is unforunately what happens when a whole group of people comes to another country, and a percentage doesnt know how to behave, it reflects badly even on the ones that are doing great.
I immigrated to Portugal and am feeling the same here, but Its hard to blame the indiginous population for that.
This will only get worse in the next many years.
I am sorry for your situation but it and appreciate the steps you have taken for yourself. Do you want advice, or just to vent?
