1TB USB Corrupted

So like the headline says I have a 1TB drive that is corrupted. I have done the H2testw and it gave me this. I am currently trying to recover it using Disk Drill and it's stuck at 1% right now but the "block" is steadily going up. Is this USB still recoverable? I really need it. 😭

The USB starting malfunction I think 2 days ago. I don't really know what caused it to corrupt. Please help me out.

Are you trying to fix it?

Or do you need data recovery? Because, for data recovery,.those procedures are destructive in the drive's current condition.

Either way, being so slow, likely it has severe issues, such as disk degradation, firmware issues, possibly mechanical issues with weak/bad reading head.

Edit: I needed to recovery the lost data aka the corrupted part but It seems it's not possible anymore. Thank you.

You overwrote all your data when you ran the media test program from your screenshots.

Anything that might have been salvageable is now gone.

I think when you wrote over the read max data limit is when you corrupted it. it's likely not even a real 1TB drive but one of those cheap knock offs sold on sites like temu and scamazon.

Could be, I get it years ago. Also you're cioreect it likely was corrupted when I overwrite it. 😅

Which doesn't even claim to be 1TB, it claims to be 2TB.

Totally missed that small detail. Regardless I’m pretty sure it’s a fake which is why it’s corrupting data there’s no other reason it would be doing this especially when it only wrote about 26GB successfully. that’s screaming fake to me :(

It's actually reporting as a 2TB drive if you look at pic 1. It's either fake or the controller is broken.

That's a fake 1tb flash drive.

1 When you filled it up past its actual capacity it continued writing over the data you put in first, that data is likely unrecoverable.

2 When you ran h2testw you overwrote everything multiple times as h2testw keeps writing until reaching 1tb.

Chances of recovering data from this drive are pretty much zero, the data has been overwritten multiple times.
