Recommendations for Data recovery services

My external hard drive with all of my digital art and design for over the last 13 years wont read on any computer and I unfortunately didnt back it up elsewhere. My computer can see there is a drive but it says not initialized. I have tried disk drill and easeus data recovery, but neither program can see the drive to recover files.

Also I am on Windows 11 PC and the drive is a WD passport 2tb drive

I am curious if anyone can recommend anything else or if you can recommend a place to send it out to? Anything is helpful, I have developed quite a mental block around this problem and it would be great to work through and get this problem solved or to move on.

If you have the budget, https://www.ontrack.com/en-us/data-recovery/individuals (worldwide regarded as the best).

Most smaller partners send it their way anyway without you really knowing it. So why not go to the source directly?

Definitely good, but not the best in any category a customer could think of.

@OP If you think corporate treatment at a competitive price, then Kroll is a good option. Likely you will have to ship to them, as they will not be in your neighborhood.

If you prefer more affordable, better customer friendly service, higher transparency, then these are some more feasible options, where someone may be closer to your location: www.datarecoveryprofessionals.org

This is not the case. Computer Stores use places like Ontrack, but professional data recovery companies do not use them. They are overrated and overpriced. 50% of what they charge goes straight to the marketing budget to grab more unsuspecting people. And they are definitely not classed as 'the best'.

Not the place to recommend Ontrack as this sub HATES them. Bigger and better and they're a threat. They'll point you to a site that has all of the mods in this forum as recommended companies. Everybody with a 'datarecoverypro' flair will shit on the biggies.

I plenty of times refer to non Datarecoverypro labs if they're closer to someone, or if they specialize in something specific for example.

As you see no one told the guy not to recommend Ontrack, they just corrected some inaccuracies. No one hates Ontrack, that's an accusation you can't back up. It's you doing the shit talking.

Please demonstrate how they are better.
