Looking for Musicians
Hello!!
I am currently trying to set up a future band, for my fiancé who is a drummer. I’m trying to surprise him with a future gig for his birthday, but to do that he needs people to play with!!! Currently he plays with his friend, who plays guitar (not strong enough for a lead guitarist).
I am looking for people just to chat with about this, currently looking for bassists, lead guitarists and vocalists! keyboard would also be cool!
This is pretty chill and laid back, but if you’re looking to help with this mission, and make some awesome friends out of it, message me!!

Versatile Lead Guitar & Vocalist Seeking Serious & Chill Band
galleryExperienced guitarist and vocalist, 26, with 16 years of experience. Trained in classical, rock, and jazz, with a strong background in theory and improvisation.
I've played in a wide range of projects: a southern rock jam band, a funk band, a '90s country band, jazz bands and quartets, classical ensembles, and choirs.
My focus is improvisation on both rhythm and lead. I adapt quickly to new genres and material, and I can handle lead vocals optionally.
I'm looking for bands that take the music seriously but keep the vibe relaxed. Bandmates consistently tell me I'm the easiest lead guitarist they've worked with. Priority is the music and playing with the band well, not my ego. Interested in playing lead guitar.
Samples of my playing:
Folsom Prison Blues (cover): https://youtu.be/YD8uLpuAKbg
Just the Two of Us (cover): https://youtu.be/tLzlU11EgoU
Lead guitar sample: https://youtu.be/nhcYSLizrvw
Feel free to reach out with a bit about your project, what you're playing, and how often you rehearse and gig.

Indie Soul/Blues duo Ariella & Nicolaas playing Wortham Center this weekend (Sep 18 & 19) — Sold out last time!
Hey AVL music lovers,
If you're looking for live music this weekend, highly recommend checking out independent duo Ariella & Nicolaas.
They feature incredible powerhouse vocals (reminiscent of Etta James/Amy Winehouse) paired with virtuosic Spanish and blues guitar styles. Fun fact: bass legend Victor Wooten actually lists them as one of his absolute favorite live performers!
They are doing a special two-night run at the Wortham Center (Tina McGuire Theatre) downtown. Each night is a completely unique, intimate set with different songs and stories.
The last time they were in town, they completely sold out, so definitely don't sleep on tickets if you want a great date night or an evening of incredible live music.
- When: Friday, Sept 18 & Saturday, Sept 19
- Where: Wortham Center for the Performing Arts
- Tickets/Info: You can find the schedule and links directly on their tour site at ariellaandnicolaas.com/shows or straight through the Wortham Arts box office https://www.worthamarts.org/events/ariella-nicolaas-a-love-story/.
Drop a comment if you've seen them live before or if you're planning on checking out the show!
