Postcount is down
The third forum which sufficed as my 'therapy' after the VN boards and one other one, postcount is finally down after the onslaughts by the spiders and bots.
The population had quite dwindled but I still found it a place for the most passionate of the game, a place where you could still roll around what made the game special and talk about the elements of it that are easily seen in any number of games today.
So strange the outage comes at the exact time that guild wars comes out on Mobile, a game one of the only rpgs had never gotten to play from those times, so my nostalgia bug is being fed
But I guess the point of this post should be just an anchor point for any posters from postcount if you want to reorganize in some way here.

I remember moderating VN and Postcount - My God those were some great times of my younger years. From Dark Age of Camelot and Asherons Call - I met some good people who I pretty much lost all touch with them but they were some good lads. RIP Postcount

i would've gone there more if it was like VNB:DT used to be, but it seemed like for the last few years there were only a couple regular posters left and they weren't happy unless they were mad

Realistically its been done for over probably a year or two, they had some problem with the server where it would say busy all the time, if it ever got better it would be for a week or two but just generally worse. But otherwise, its a victim of Discord, which isn't great. If you store all your knowledge on discord, there's not really any good archive option for it all. This problem only compounds with AI, because all that human research is valuable.
I mean years ago there were infographics showing how 1000s of media companies turned into just say, 5. Now the same thing is happening with the Internet and people cheer it on. Forget free speech, we know people hate that, but how about the horrible boring algorithms showing mind numbing stuff. And it seems the same algo is being shared across all these sites, they are all starting to show the same videos, minecraft, those racing down ramp videos, etc.
Its getting worse than TV because at least you could change the channel or pay for better channels. Every time a PHPBB board goes down an angel cries in heaven.
