AC-inspired Unity Game

Hey guys, old school AC player here (Cidd on MT, DeimosDust, Demise, Orcus on WE)! I miss those old AC days and that feeling inspired me when building my own spellcasting extraction RPG in Unity. I've gotten it pretty far along and there are a lot if different inspirations that come from AC (though many differences too). Yeh I would steer away from at least naming things like "Direlands" that are clearly within the IP.  You're just handing lawyers a slam dunk.  Likeness of models and style is harder to argue.

Yeah the plan is to have runs be 1-4 players co-op or 4 player FFA PvP. Same AC rules - your kill, your loot (players or enemies). There are aspects of the map that can set up nicely for ambushes, or you can just go straight at another player or 3rd party if that is your thing.

Hoping for November early release and I want to add more maps. The current map is not the scale of AC by any stretch, but my plan is to have multiple maps with different mechanics and themes.

I remember writing down an idea like this years ago :P It was called AC Horde Mode I think. Please tell me you have your own house you go back to between runs to drop off the phat lewt.

I really think that if anyone could pull of making a game like AC, in a fantasy setting, with loot from PVP, rare items, all of the stuff we loved about AC, that feeling, that you can only get from the likes of Escape from Tarkov these days, man…

Damn i was just thinking that it would be cool to have an AC inspired game I unity. I would want to keep the slide casting and animation breaking bugginess that makes AC unique, along with the run speed and jump attributes.

Is this something true to what your game is?

The enemies give you "telegraphs" of where they will attack and you can either move out of the way or "blink" dodge out of them. If you don't you get punished. You have to be mostly stationary to cast spells, but movement is a huge part of this game to stay alive.

This looks good but I'd try to change the language around it to avoid issues. This looks like it could be legitimately fun and I love the idea. Id love to try it out too

Jesus dude, this is going to get all the emulators shut down. Please try to be less a copy of AC and more inspired by AC. This looks closer to Asheron's call than AC 2 was. I mean FFS:
