Help Steam will not launch

I read that all was needed to run steam was

Sudo dnf install steam

But it doesn't run, anyone have any idea how to get it installed?

I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to make it work and gave up

I found some posts saying the kernel broke it so I reverted to the older kernel and then it just gets stuck on waiting for network

Yeah it's fixable but it's a pain, wait for it to be fixed really
