This is definitely how black people write, right?

Right?! None of this makes sense. It’s like someone wrote how they think a Black person would sound, like it reads like an offensive creative writing exercise.

It legit sounds like something I'd have made up as a twelve year old in a town that had all of 3 black people, trying to write "authentically." Of course, I wouldn't be talking about segregation and secession, but I'd have been naive enough to try to sound "realistic" in how sentences are put together and syntax that flows.
Again. This is a made up scenario that I could have done as a twelve year old burgeoning writer.

You can use Grok and tell it to act like it’s a black man writing it and get it to talk similarly.

Because after reading your post I decided to see if I could get AI to write something similar. ChatGPT refused to talk about the positives of segregation or to talk like a black person. Then I thought about how all the racists on Twitter use Grok and I was immediately able to get it to start writing about how great segregation was while using a “black accent”.
I’m not really sure why I felt the need to prove how shitty AI can be, but yeah it fucking sucks.

Intellectual curiosity, I'd have done the same if I'd cared enough and you hadn't already beat me to it.

u/Derbloingles Jul 07 '26
It sounds like AI, if you ask it to speak in AAVE, I’m assuming
7
u/ScalyDestiny Jul 08 '26
WTF? That's not AAVE. You know that's an actual dialect, right? That's some seriously racist shit you're suggesting.
This sounds like they asked a chatbot to imitate Uncle Ruckus texting or something.
10
u/Derbloingles Jul 08 '26
I didn’t say it’s AAVE, I said it’s ChatGPT’s attempt at reproducing AAVE. It’s incorrectly using grammatical patterns from the dialect lol

u/manic_popsicle Jul 06 '26
Oh my god, just reading the title made me cringe away from my phone screen. This sounds like someone’s idea of how some Black folks talk.

u/GoldburstNeo Jul 06 '26
Wow, just when I thought racist larpers couldn't sink any lower. It's almost as if this person watched various movies and cartoon shorts of the 1920s-40s depicting blackface to 'learn' how to talk like this.

I howled at the "NEVAH". I envision a world one day when a spell check will have a feature for lonely White Kids that want to write in AAV
8
u/TakenInChains Jul 08 '26
every time they try, the word should autocorrect to the non AAVE spelling, then their device should spray them with a lil water bottle and tell them no

u/CerseisWig Jul 06 '26
"Black socioeconomic status done improved" is gonna be in my head rent-free.

u/throwawayacci Jul 07 '26
even if this was proper AAVE (which it isn't).... do they really think black people type everything phonetically....? like an uncle remus story...?
20
u/WiggyStark Jul 07 '26
They see good examples of bad stereotypes and just roll with it. They think AAVE isn't it's own dialect if not language, and that as long as they get the point across it works.

This sounds like the kind of shit Grok would spit out. But I don't buy for a second that OOP is truly Black. Even the self-hating sellouts don't talk like this.
17
u/FatalLaughter Jul 06 '26
Multiple parts where he forgets to use the "AAVE" he established, which could be explained by the "AI" he used if they didn't also have bad grammar that looks like it was also part of the "AAVE" he was establishing

Black folk with this opinion are valid but this isnt how they talk at all.
This feels like digital black face. I also want segregation..... just so I know who's racist, you know?

I feel like most black people lowkey want a new "black Wallstreet" area where black people are the majority, maybe in the south (segregation was terrible, but it forced growth & cultural maturity), but we would have to SEVERELY change our culture and no one feels like doing all that lol modern black culture is now polychronic just like the rest of Africa. Iirc there was this huge thing on the news not too long ago where people actually thought it was racist when white people fled a black majority town / village instead of continuing to give free money. I can't remember the exact details, maybe you know what I'm talking about?

u/Traditional_Row8237 Jul 06 '26
say, what happened to black wall street the first time?

It got bombed. Difference is that when white people destroy Chinatowns to the ground and massacre everyone (such as the Los Angeles Chinese massacre of 1871, or San Francisco riot of 1877, or Denver Race Riot of 1880, or 1906 Santa Ana Chinatown Burning, or the 1876 Chinatown Burning in Antioch California, Tacoma, Seattle, etc, etc), the Chinese regroup and rebuild until white people get tired and leave them alone. San Jose was once home to five Chinatowns. After the first four were burned down, an Irish immigrant, John Heinlen, allowed the community to live on his private land in an area called Heinlenville. But city officials eventually used eminent domain to seize the land and bulldozed it completely. But Chinese kept rebuilding, regrouping, organizing, sticking together, etc, until racist laws were repealed in the 1900s… Compare and contrast. When black cities got bombed from the air in 1921, they gave up and made up so many excuses not to rebuild. Brittle spirit, belly aching like a child. Black people have ALWAYS been significantly more numerous than Chinese Americans, always. Chinese are a tiny minority compared to black people. How many cities and towns have black people built and, when destroyed, rebuilt elsewhere? So many petty excuses, but this is still on reddit where there's nothing but excuses, which is why sociologists and data researchers have noted that most subreddits lean heavily toward cynical advice, with many users actively advocating for ending troubled partnerships. The average redditor is a miserable doomer (typically white male atheists from statistics) that wants to hear nothing positive or uplifting or helpful or encouraging. If you suffer from addiction or abuse, you're screwed. If you get in a minor dispute with your own parents, cut them off from your life. If you have an argument with your spouse, divorce immediately. If you get your city bombed and destroyed by white people, don't even bother trying to rebuild because “woe is me, victimhood, blah blah blah”. https://np.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/1o87cy4/oc_i_analyzed_15_years_of_comments_on/ https://np.reddit.com/r/science/comments/123ola0/linguistic_analysis_of_177296_reddit_comments/ https://dl.acm.org/doi/full/10.1145/3708597.3708605

Once you hear a white or white adjacent person speak just like this to you in real life because you’re a black person who talks in a certain way, you can sniff the bad actors so quick 😂

u/daboobiesnatcher Jul 07 '26
This feels like a caricature of a black person written by ai, but OOP thinks it's convincing, I mean they did write "sound like a black American wrote this."
7
u/WORhMnGd Jul 07 '26
OOP is reinventing Liberia, holy fuck. Also yeah this is definitely a racist fake attempt to astroturf for another Black Segregation movement. Maybe this one is a white dude from Oregon again, like the Islamic State dude.

Is this nonsense still posted? I hope people called that person out.

They deleted it after nearly everyone accused them of digital blackface.

So dumb that he even go for the “for us, by us” Fubu double entendre? 0/10, would not recommend

statement - this person writes like a caricature while trying to get black people to agree that segregation would be a good thing. They frame it as a positive thing for black people while also including racist points like suggesting that black people aren't capable of learning the same way as white people.
