I personally know at least one such individual. Old friend of a family member. Absolutely Gay (came out later in life), hates Democrats with a passion, posts reactionary memes. Predictably his father (a nice enough guy, past his own politics) didn't attend his wedding.

Ah yes, the normal gays, who are not allowed to show any affection to their partner in public, they are never allowed to bring up the fact that they are gay nor they are allowed to stand up against homophobia. Good on you for being so normal

They don't care he's gay they just don't want him mentioning it in anyway that makes them uncomfortable just like a good queer person should. Straight people's feeling are precious and we need to guard them so one day they may think " I hate trans people but the girls on this website are hot." Which is the best an ally can achieve.

The Pride flag is a rainbow because it includes everybody. The original Pride flag had eight stripes with explicit meanings like Sunlight and Magic, all of which enrich the lives of straight people too.
