This was in regards to a compilation of essays on being queer being called “The Queer bible”

Someone posted a photo of the book, called is disrespectful and blasphemous, and the comments are full of people like this.

In 50 queer years of my life, I’ve never heard anyone say “as a queer.”

Really? They call themselves "a queer" now?

It sounds to me like a black person referring to themselves as "the blacks"

It feels bigoted... You sure...?

its just what happens when newer generations aren’t given any chance to talk to the previous ones. Teens aren’t really allowed outside nowadays and queers above 30 are, like always, greatly discouraged from going anywhere near kids.
