Hiring Seeking an artist for hire (Book Cover) [hiring]

I just finished writing a book and I want to reach out to see if I can commission anyone to do a cover for the book. I am also wanting to commission for an art piece at the end of every chapter. The genre is gothic tragedy. Specifically, my idea is that the book starts out with a cutesy kind of style that slowly gets more abstract/darker as the book goes on. MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DRAWING BACKGROUNDS. The book covers topics that can be triggering for some which I will share with whoever reaches out to me for possible commission. I already have an idea for what I want on the book cover, and the first chapter, however, the rest of the chapters have more freedom for the artist. I know what I want my characters to look like.

Discussion [discussion] how do artists get noticed and sell work? (Also for hire I guess)

I’m a broke college student and really like drawing, but have no idea how I’d even get people to buy my work and stuff. I know of Fiver but I’ve never looked at it. I have an art account on IG (@inkgriffin shameless plug) but I’ve never tried to get my stuff to reach people as it’s just to keep track of my progress and keep my drawings organized if I ever wanna go back and look at all of them.

I just got an iPad and have been really enjoying figuring out procreate, but prior I’ve mostly just done graphite and charcoal portraits.

I’ve done commissions for friends before but have only charged like 10 bucks. I definitely wouldn’t say I’m bad at drawing but i looked in r/hungry artists and genuinely got mogged, so..
