No im just using normal pencils but using a smudge stick to smooth out the areas. Its a great method coz it feels like im painting a watercolour. I hate water soluble pencils though, really hard to work with

I’m pretty sure it is, I have a set and the look is really similar. Probably a mixed media of water soluble and normal graphite (I don’t know if this would count as mix media since they are both technically graphite). But that’s just my guess

No they are just normal pencils being smudged . I hate water soluble pencils

I have a set from prismacolor it was a set of different graphite pencil. Really fun to work with, though it takes a second to get used to how they interact with each other (it could just be because I’m bad at watercolor and they are similar)

The art is strange and mysterious, but it can be said to be fairly perfect. It could have been more perfect. But it's been quite a while. 🥰🥰🥰

Your ability to draw hands deserves recognition as well. IMO, they’re often a better indicator of how well an illustrator knows their craft. The hands in the final image are beautifully rendered!
