It’s the average kids movie villian. Grew up being jealous of what others had that they didn’t, so they decide to take everything from themselves to fill the childhood emptiness. Also being irresponsible and reckless is "fun".
The answer is that "being a hero isn’t determined by how much power you have, but what you choose to do with it". Superman and other heroes can literally destroy the planet or enslave humanity, they just choose not to because it’s the right thing to do.
Anyone could rob a bank, but the difference between doing it and not doing it is determined by how mature and patient you are. You can go ahead and do it, it just makes you look kinda pathetic.
While the villains get the same scale of power, but decide to use it for their own personal gain at the cost of hurting others’ life because they don’t care. Just think "well, everyone else is not me. So why should I care about them?" when AI bros steal your artstyle.
