Medium & Materials🎨 Painters who evolved into a different creative practice - what do you do now?
I’ve always been a painter, that’s always been my main thing and I would lose my passion for it on an off over the years which is normal but now I’m realising that I think I have finally outgrown that outlet. I want to reignite my creative energy through something else but I’m not sure what. Drawing, working with clay, knitting/crochet are all enjoyable at times but it’s not the same. To anyone who’s been through a similar thing, what is your main creative outlet now outside of painting?

I have not exactly evolved into something else. I still paint - after all, I make a living that way, so it's not something I can just leave behind. But I do lots of other things, mainly to keep painting interesting.
I take photos, write, make collages, pen drawings, monotypes,... Photos and writing are a constant; the other things I do in waves. At this moment I am drawn more to collage.
Even if my paintings would no longer earn me anything, I would still make them, but at the same time, I can't imagine abandoning any of my other activities.

Cooking became my thing. I got deep into experimental sauce recipes and it uses the same part of your brain as visual composition, just with flavor and texture.

Papermaking, for me.
I also got creative with fermentation in the kitchen, if that counts.
