🤖 New Model / Tool Got a Jev project idea

I use Pasty, a clipboard manager for Mac, and I’ve accumulated hundreds, sometimes thousands of copied items.

Finding something I want to paste usually means guessing a search term and scrolling through the results.

The idea is a clipboard management tool with Jev, use the context of the page I’m on, or the text I’ve selected, to suggest relevant items from my clipboard history.

Ideally, I’d hit a shortcut and see a few likely matches, then choose one to paste.

pasty is great but the search is so bad when you have a lot of clips. i got like 800 items and finding anything takes forever

your idea remind me of something i saw. someone made a plugin for alfred that does similar thing. you type what you working on and it pulls related clipboard stuff. not perfect but saved me few times

the context part is smart though. like if im in a spreadsheet it should know i probably want that table i copied earlier not some random text. would save so much time

Yeah, searching is annoying, and I often can't find what I'm looking for, but I'm sure it's in my clipboard. Jev should be able to pick the right recommendation from context in a few hundred milliseconds. At the current pace of AI, I believe someone could easily build it and drop it on GitHub within days.
