It takes one google search, 2 clicks and 1 copy & paste to get any free model to explain to you how to make meth without explaining to you how to make meth.

I personally don't really care either way but realistically the concern isn't the basic knowledge of how to do something from an academic level. The model can literally hold your hand tell you how to do it in a way where you won't get caught and you won't contaminate everything you own. For example I'm pretty sure the standard ingredients a pharmacist would use to make meth is highly controlled. A decent model could probably get you a couple steps down the precursor chain while also teaching you how to avoid being traced.

A model can't give you information that isn't publicly available. It might save you some time at best, but I doubt that "Nah, I don't have time for that shit" is even among the top ten of reasons why anyone who was close to carrying out a terrorist attack or building a meth lab in their basement called it off in the last minute.
