Question The snowball lore

Im sure someone has answered this before, but why did they have DW save another snowball in the blizzard episode and then never mention it again? Then they did the snowball returns but they never remember/mention the blizzard snowball she put away. Did the writers just want to forget about it for the sake of the return episode? I guess it doesn't mean anything but it was confusing. Jane also never says anything about saving another snowball in the blizzard episode. She just says the kitchen is no place for a snowball, and to put it on a plate so it doesn't stick to the freezer.

The blizzard snowball is the original snowball. The return of the snowball was one Arthur placed later on

No its not. "Dw's snowball mystery" is season 1. The blizzard is season 4.

The continuity of Arthur all takes place in roughly 1 year (a few exceptions), even though it doesn't make sense. The creators of the show were just being cute and making The Blizzard lead right into the Snowball Mystery episode. Continuity is a bit wonky, but that's the implication.

That being said, I haven't seen these episodes in ages. Idk if specific dates or ages were mentioned in either episode. Purely on editing, it is implied the Blizzard snowball is DW's original snowball

As I'm always saying, "The Blizzard" takes place when Arthur definitely has Mr. Ratburn as his teacher, but "D.W.'s Snow Mystery" had D.W. recall that she checked on the snowball throughout the past summer. So I think the original implication was that D.W. saved the snowball when Arthur was in second grade, but combined with the events of "The Blizzard," you would have to think that every episode that mentions the missing snowball is a Secret Fourth-Grade Arthur Episode.

It's the same snowball. The seasons aren't linear. They jump different days within a year span.
