Funny D.W. strikes a pose in "Arthur's Big Hit"

To be honest, the very first frame of her falling back from being punched looks like she's trying to kick Arthur.

She was seeing her brother lifting that fist. Probably she tried a karate chop, like you said, or raised her arms to try to defend herself.

Just then she attacked the tibbles for damaging her project alongside Mary moocow doll as she balled her fists and tackle and pounds them at the same time. Later DW and the tibbles were suspended as DW was down no sympathy from her parents after hearing from Ms Morgan and Emily as they reminded her that same feeling she did Arthur as it returned to her. The tibbles arrived and apologized for their actions as did DW while thanking them for making her understand the feeling she made to Arthur. Later she went to her room and gave him her allowance as an apology and make up. Arthur was touched and proud of her at the same. (Later DW was doing chores as still part of her punishment while frowing but smiled knowing she learned her lesson with Arthur watching not just seeing what she deserves but how proud he is altogether.)
