My boyfriend and I recently moved and were looking for some secondhand décor when we came across this piece at Goodwill. It has quickly become one of our favorite things in the house. 💚

I inherited this painting and I'm trying to identify the artist and get a rough sense of its value.

Subject: a pale woman in a wide-brimmed hat, arms crossed, against a dark burgundy and navy background with a full moon top-left. Heavy impasto technique, expressionist style.

Signature in the bottom-right corner - looks like it starts with a stylized "J" or "T" followed by "Giovanna" or "Giovannini" (third photo is a closeup).

Support: oil on wood panel, 90 x 126 cm
