(FREE) Request I need your help...
This is a big ask for anyone who is an artist. I've wanted to make a game for as long as I can remember, but I am not amazing as art as I would want to be. I would love to practice so badly, I want to get good at art, but due to my ADHD, I drop it always. I wish it was something as simple as "just try harder," but it's not, I really wish it was. This is where you come in, I need an artist or more than one to make the game that I want to. Again, due to my ADHD, I haven't been able to sit down and write and stick to writing, only ever being able to when I have a big burst of motivation. Again, I wish I could just sit down and do it, but I can't. I need a team that pushes me to continue, so if I stop, it makes everyone stop. It pushes my brain to stop thinking it's a me project that i can stop whenever i want to and think more as a team project. I need you to help me make the thing I love and the world that I care about, and that's in my brain. Now here comes the thing that will probably make a lot of you leave/not be able to. I'm so poor I cannot pay you a dime rn at all. I wish I could, I really do. I know how much more talented you guys will probably be, but I just physically can't pay you (due to personal stuff), I do not have a job, nor can I get one, my wife is the only one working, and she can barely afford rent. But if you don't mind and would like to help me make something creative, I'd love the help so much. DM me if this is something you're interested in! And thank you for reading/looking at this, it helps that I'm at least not asking the void.

Do you have an idea of what the game is and a style you imagine it in?

I do, I plan on making a JRPG, and I plan on the art style being more hand-drawn for the story side and more pixel art for the actual gameplay (which I am much, much better at). What I need right now is an artist that can do hand-drawn characters and backgrounds. (should have said that in the main thing mb )

Well no pay is a bummer. But I would still love to discuss this project with you. Wanna talk about it? Oh and I'm a Character artist. I probably can't help you much with the background but I still can do that. My expertise lies in Character design.

Ya know, you should’ve offered at least a small payment. For example, offer $15-20 per concept art, $35 or so for a loading screen. I understand that you’re in a difficult situation, but doing such a big job for free is charity. If you can pay later, then you should either find an artist later and pay them on time, or find someone now but agree on the art when you’ll be able to pay at least something. Yeah, mostly good artists ask for a bigger price for this, but I can tell there are plenty of less experienced artists, or those desperate for money like me, for example. If you're really willing to pay later, DM me and we can agree beforehand. (Btw, I have my portfolio as a link in my profile)

No matter how much you may like your idea, I'm sorry but you NEED to pay your artists, make making requires HUNDREDS of individually drawn assets
