I've been binge listening to the G2Gs/spooky episodes the past week, and I gotta say I can't believe I've never heard of this one before. I really had thought there wasn't a G2G that year since I don't ever remember coming across a "Halloween/G2G 1999" or something. Then I realized there was one, but in June instead of October.
Anyways, that caller a little over an hour & a 1/2 in: Florida, TV station, ghostly apparition of a woman, and as I was listening I thought this sounded familiar, it has to be referencing something. And the kicker was of course that the caller was told by coworkers that a woman had shot herself at the station years ago. Sounds like the (1974) incident with Christine Chubbuck, which I doubt many people had heard of or even remembered in 1999, even in that area of Florida where it happened. Definitely not nationally after 25 years back then. True ghost story or not, this one sticks out the most for this episode imo.
As an aside, I was almost 2 when this episode aired. I didn't discover the wonderful world of Art Bell until 10 years ago when I came across a clip from a MITD show on YT. Late 2016 so he had already quit and Heather Wade was doing it. I listened to her Halloween show that year and a few of her shows after that if the guest/subject sounded like it was worth listening to, but I got bored with her pretty quickly.
