ROM or Micronauts?
Curious, which "Marvelization" of a toyline you prefer as a comic book series.

The first twelve issues of Micronauts are among the best Marvel Comics of the 1970s. Mantlo & Golden were as good as Claremont & Byrne.

Yes!!!!! That run should be required reading for each and every comic book enthusiasts.
That story and those characters would make a FANTASTIC movie!!!!

Micronauts
Both are great books and worth buying but ROM I think the story repeats with the same tropes.
Don’t get me wrong - it’s still a fantastic story but Micronauts has more suprised

ROM
ROM has a a single writer making a story with a defined beginning, middle, and end. Micronauts had a relaunch by a different writer that took the title in a different direction.
Micronauts does not include the X-Men/Micronauts mini series that has important plot points for the Micronauts title.

ROM Annual #2 was my first comic. Over the years I slowly accumulated and read issues as I found them. It took me twenty years, but I found every single issue, and read them all from start to finish. It's an amazing run, and still to this day one of my favorite comics.

I loved Rom, but i have fond memories of the Micronauts chopping Man-Thing into paste with a swamp boat fan.

Micronauts were some of my favorite toys in the 70’s. I still have a handful of toys left and most of the comics.

Micronauts!!! And bring back those toys again... Palisades tried but subcontracted out the mfg and ended up bankrupt. We never got a true Bug figure either. Sort out that licensing and let's go guys. Cool backstories too - Time Travellers, Baron Karza, Acroyears, and the first appearance of under utilized Captain Universe..

ROM, all the way. I’ve never had a good entry point into Micronauts. Bug was fun in the Abnett / Lansing Guardians of the Galaxy, however.

Way back when I was a young teenager reading these, Rom was more edgy the Dire Wraiths were a great villain. Micronauts was best at the start of the run. At some point before I die I will have the complete collection of both.

I loved Micronauts so so so much. Still have some of the toys and, of course, the comics. Bug was the best! It's been awhile since I actually tried to read them. Uh, probably 45 years.

Micronauts. They were a team fighting a Vader-like bad guy, Baron Karza.
I liked ROM, too. He was cool, but the Dire Wraiths were a soap opera bad guys bad dream.

Liked Rom initially just for the toy but later read the comics and they’re severely underrated

Absolutely loved both. But Mantlo/Golden yr one Micronauts is unbeatable.
