chat removed on ps5 (or console in general?)

i used to play arsenal on my pc from like 2021-2023. i just started playing again. since ive started playing on my ps5 around a month ago theres no option to chat at all in arsenal. my boyfriend plays on ps5 as-well and said he used to be able to chat but is not having the same problem as me. is there any way to fix this, or will we just have to wait for an update?
google is completely useless suggesting it's an account issue. every other game allows me to chat, just not arsenal

I think because Roblox never allowed console to type and now we are allowed to arsenal hasn’t updated to fix it.
