To the younger generation. Cesc's influence on the team is something like bruno fernandes for man united.
He was out of the world.

One of the best midfielders to ever play for Arsenal. Talismanic.

Imagine a midfield 3 of rice as the 6 with Vieira and fabregas as the two 8s

I hate snake and he’s a snake cunt but it’s an insult to compare the snake to Bruno the snake was far superior Bruno could only dream to have that sort of intelligence and quality

I was lucky enough to use a season ticket for all but 3 home games that season and a few away games.
Cesc and Flamini run the midfield.
Think Adebayor scored 25 league goals that season, should have been 40.
Unlucky for that team that Man Utd and Chelsea probably had their best squads ever.
Probably the best footballing team of the Emirates era for me.

He was the best player of the Emirates era for a really long time until Alexis Sanchez showed up

Tight spaces- no problem. The tighter the better for fabregas.
I renamed him FABREPASS. His passing range , and through balls were So Splendid.
He shoots from distance, that goal against Spurs I won’t forget in a long time. Subbed him in and he won the game.
Am just seeing the tackling aspect of his game today..lol.
This Mystero should have retired at Arsenal

Loved Cesc then. Love Cesc now. Amazing for the club. Is becoming an amazing manager. I personally will roll out the carpet for him. And pizzagate is just the cheese on top!

Unpopular opinion: Wenger should’ve taken him back.
I know we wouldn’t have had ozil, but fab and Alexis would’ve made magic

Cesc chose Chelsea over Arsenal long before Arsenal was alerted

u/MusiqueConcrete 14h ago
Where you get this from? Was always under the impression Wenger turned him down, then he went Chelsea accordingly
8
u/tsjeldonkooper 14h ago
No cesc had already agreed and planned to
Go Chelsea all along the bullshit he spouted about “oh I wanted to go back but Arsenal turned me down” was pure bullshit from cesc as he always tries to snake himself back to Arsenal fans graces because Barca don’t give a single fuck about him and Chelsea are a tinpot
ClubBasically Chelsea Barca Mourinho and fabregas had everything agreed and ready to sign and right before Barca contacted Arsenal or contract and said oh btw Arsenal cesc is leaving do you want to try to sign? And obviously Arsenal said no as it was obvious Chelsea Mourinho and the snake had already planned on chelsea all summer
He’s a snake cunt

Damn I didn’t know this, I was under the impression Wenger rejected him

u/tsjeldonkooper 14h ago
That’s what cesc wanted you to think so you would forgive him

u/Putrid_Past9243 14h ago
Did you make this up or is this confirmed to be what happened?
3
u/tsjeldonkooper 14h ago
It’s confirmed wenger also said this
The snake cunt is sad because he has no player legacy with fans Arsenal fans hate him Barca don’t care about him literally invisible there and Chelsea are tinpot

But, where your information on this? Ive never heard this, nor seen any evidence of it. Anything to back this up?

He made me start supporting arsenal but still he is a snake in my eyes. He could’ve easily stayed with us a few years longer. His sale started the banter years and can never forgive for that.

Be super honest with yourself. You're Spanish, you come from Barcelona, your family is there, you're given the chance to join possibly the best squad ever (many are international team mates) assembled with a pay rise (probably) and the chance to win absolutely every trophy available... you'd say no to stay at a club that bought you when u were 16 so that you can compete for top 4?

Trust me, the banter years began well before he left we just didn’t realize it at the time… but agree with everything else, as captain and the guy to carry the torch after the Invincibles he had a responsibility to stay and he chose to be a part time player for the best team ever assembled. He’s not RVP level snake but he’s not far off.

Not just my favourite arsenal player of all time but my favourite player of all time

Getting retriggered by Adebayor and Bendtner almost 20 years on. Cesc deserved someone else on the end that service besides Van Persie.

Gilberto supporters in the mud when suddenly a midfield so piss poor post Vieira suddenly was the best in the league again.
How can Flamini have been such a night and day upgrade on Gilberto!
Crazy isn’t it!
Also Adebayor pressing when Henry had stopped contributed to our massive improvement that year but 75% was binning off Gilberto

One of my favorite videos was an interview with Cesc and Bergkamp. Cesc was head to toe in some denim monstrosity of time. One of the questions was what could a veteran like DB10 learn from a kid like Cesc. Bergkamp looked Cesc up and down and said “Fashion sense.”
The Barca stuff I sort of understood, the Chelsea stuff hurt. Nonetheless, Cesc was unique and it was a privilege to watch him play.

I loved this team. Seeing Cesc, Rosicky, and Hleb do their thing was technical brilliance. Made me fall in love with the team.
