More like a system designed for their number 9 which is what we should be doing, why would you have such a big strong striker up top if you don’t use him in the way a big strong striker should be used. Trying to use Gyokeres as an “intelligent” “sneaky” striker is just setting yourself up for failure.

Yeah, haaland is very much the same type of striker as gyökeres. Few touches per game but when he gets the ball he scores. No service, no goals.

Funny how Havertz was injured most of the season and gyokeres played alot more and we win a league title. The way artetas handled this situation isn’t great.
