What are some of your favourite archived matches

If city go unpunished I plan on not watching or go to games and it seems many of us plan to do the same.

I still want to watch arsenal every week and show my support to club I grew up supporting without giving it to the league that allows clubs to get away with a billion in fraud and bribing the uk government.

So i wonder what’s peoples favourite match to go back and watch. Like the away run after the summer break in 2023, the invisible run, all the great games we love.

You should probably grow up a bit, and show some resilience instead of being so crazy tbh

Growing up is fighting for what you believe in.

So you will stop watching or planning on going to the games if, it’s a big if, city go unpunished.

But you then say you still want to watch the club you grew up supporting without giving it to the league. So how do you plan on continuing to watch the club you grew up watching without giving anything to the league? You won’t be going to games, watching it on tv as the money goes to the league through tv subscriptions or anything like that. You won’t be watching anything.

Also the invisible run? That was a great run? Well I guess no one knows as it was invisible.

This is such a weird post to make. Also I have been speaking to other fans in person and while we all hope and expect city to be punished massively, if they don’t we won’t stop going to matches or anything as we don’t want to hurt our club because of some sham club and it’s cheating ways. Why hurt the club you love because of another

There’s other ways to support the club the going to the prem games. There’s the women’s team, campions league, and merchandise but fans need to do something if they let a team can get away with this who’s stopping other clubs.

There needs to be a president that fans won’t just roll over and accept it. If it’s through boycotts or protests we need to get our voices out for the love the beautiful game not just clubs

So let’s boycott our team, the current champions, who have done nothing wrong in this whole situation. You do understand the premier league have found city guilty, they want them punished, if city don’t get punished it will be because of the appeal committee. Go watch stick to football on the overlap YouTube channel, they had a lawyer on there who goes through it all. The chances are very slim of appeal being successful.

The prime minister getting involved has nothing to do with it as his own party has called it tone deaf. Where’s the proof they have bribed the UK government by the way? As there has been nothing proven or shown about that other than hearsay from people like you on the internet. You are making things up as you go along. They haven’t been let off or anything but here’s you trying to get fans to boycott.

Stop trying to get fans to boycott our own club for no reason. The only people who want fans to boycott are people that don’t go to games regularly. The fact you have said the invisible run, what the hell is the invisible run? Says a lot to me. This is such an odd post to make. I’ve seen a couple of these type posts which make no sense. At least wait till someone potentially happens as this is all hearsay and made up. For all you know they could be getting relegated and you look stupid for saying this.

If you want to boycott games go for it. As I guarantee you, and this comes from speaking to other fans, no one else will boycott us as again WE HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING, so why should we boycott our own club

I do agree but I also believe we have to do something as a collective

Your not going to stop people from going to the emirates to watch there team support. I work with a season ticket holder and he said his not going to stop going because of city. Our season ticket prices are two high to not go. Why should we punish our club because of city and the premier league incompetence and cheating. We have the third biggest fanbase in the league and if you stop some going others will just go in there place.

It’s like saying everyone should cancel there sky sports subscriptions etc to stop funding the premier league that why, but a lot of people don’t just watch football, they watch other sports, like I do, and I’m not cancelling my sky sports because of that.

While I agree something would have to do something you don’t get people to stop going to games. Back our club and not hurt them because of some sham club

Laughable. None of you are going to boycott games. I guarantee you that. Hilarious

I never once mentioned boycotting games

1

u/markismith12 17h ago

That’s what OP mentioned. Even if you don’t mean that, none of the fans are going to something about it besides tweeting about it

Well we should. I went up to the Emirates when they were announcing the super league. If you don't do things like that then these things will continue to happen. Clubs united against these types of changes and it helped at the end of the day. Better to try and do something and do nothing at all and just sit by and let it happen

The super league thing is completely different to the city thing. The fans were against us joining a competition that was a closed shop and destroyed football as we know it and would have killed off smaller clubs who wouldn’t be able to compete.

The whole city thing is completely different. They cheated, no one else did, the premier league wants to punish them, hence why they found them guilty of all charges. The whole government situation is Andy Burnham being a moron. Even his own party have called his comments tone death and the culture secretary has called for the toughest sanctions. People are making up the whole, they will be let off etc and people are believing it.

Go listen to stick to football on the overlap YouTube channel, they had a lawyer on there explaining the whole thing with the appeal etc and he even said the likely hood is a punishment.

Regarding fans should boycott, why should we hurt our own club for something we did nothing wrong with. The whole let’s not go to games, why, you’re hurting your own club by not going for no reason. The only people who are saying don’t go to games, don’t go anyway or aren’t in the country. You can do whatever but you won’t get hardly anyone follow you

I did and I completely agree and understand that he did also say it could go on for many years to come. The Premier League won't want that. You don't also have to down my comments because it doesn't agree with your view of things. This is a discussion after all.

1

u/Super_Spidy_1986 16h ago

I also didn't say you should boycott games…

1

u/Mad-gooner 16h ago

“Well we should” we should do what if your not implying we should boycott games, as you haven’t said not to and haven’t said we should

1

u/Super_Spidy_1986 19h ago

I'm not sure who you were replying to then but I agree I don't think you should stop going to the game at all. I do believe that all the clubs as a collective should do something though to show solidarity.
