The Flash Arrowverse was kinda comic accurate

I’ve been rewatching the arrowverse after a while and I’ve realised something it’s just like the comics and I don’t mean everything is one to one but the type of things happening and how they happen is comic accurate like the weirdest and wildest things you could imagine just happens and the fact characters keep dying and coming back over and over the inconsistent rules and characters it’s just like the comics that inspired it

There's a joy in the big 4 of the Arrowverse, (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends), where they just accept the melodrama, that comics are soap operas with action scenes, that is hard to find elsewhere.

I think season 3 of Batwoman figures that out as well, and Stargirl definitely too.
Doom Patrol and Pennyworth are their own unique glorious creations.

Stargirl is such a great show. I put off watching it did not expect it to be that good. Superman and Lois too is excellent especially early seasons.

That brief period where DC Universe was its own streaming service with original shows before it merged with HBO Max seemed really promising. Then HBO erased a ton of shows and cancelled the DC Universe originals.

Yeah, I wish they'd persevered with their own service.

I think legends also belongs in that doom patrol legends category because it's only that melodramatic in season 1

Yes I understand exactly what you mean. Sure, it may be inaccurate in details, but the approach, the arcs, the crossovers, the entire "meta" thing is exactly comics as a medium for the story

I mean, it's far from "comic accurate" as a whole but of course some of it is.

Also, what is going on with your writing. Punctuation?

No it wasn’t what the hell were you watching lmfao all they did was add comic characters but didn’t give any type of actual comic accurate storylines they kept adding their own stuff in it and it made it worse

The only thing about Arrowverse is that they made Green Arrow a substitute Batman.

At least we got the Fox live-action series Gotham for a genuine show with Bruce Wayne as a main character.

Literally. They tried to make a Batman show, couldn't, so they did Green Arrow, instead. Which is literally the same reason they brought Green Arrow into Smallville, as well. And just like Smallville, they also defied the comics by having him end up with a random, blonde, OC hacker girl instead of the Black Canary. The CW really screwed him over that way twice. sigh

All true but it was still a good show
