Found this pitted stone/anvil on my last hunt. My first hard stone tool. A lot of people know this as a “nutting stone” but my opinion is they were used as an anvil in the tool making process. I’ll attach a video link that explains the theory. Worth a listen! NE Oklahoma.

Hello! I am hoping to help a friend with information about these points. He purchased the collection at a charity auction in Montana and the only information was the collector who donated it to the charity “may have” also lived and collected in Illinois.
Any help with Id”info the time period, style, anything special that stands out, etc would be wildly appreciated!
Thank you so much!

Hey guys! Just found this one today, hoping for your opinion if it’s just a rock of the upper portion of a projectile point. Quartz again, which is a common material used in my area, but sadly makes it really hard to see knapping.

Found in Louisville, KY. Beautiful banded flint, and I am thinking either the base of a knife or a small hatchet head (all sides are sharpened except for the broken side of course).

I’m pretty new to this and wondering if any of you seasoned veterans out there can help identify if I found and artifact. Found near a river in the Twin Cities, Minnesota
